This multidisciplinary and international meeting constitutes a platform for communication and exchange of ideas for scientists interested in brain dynamics fr<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1722 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/zfbweb.zfb.fuw.edu.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Intermittency01.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"288\" height=\"264\" \/>om clinical, computational, behavioural, cognitive and social perspective.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SAND conference<\/strong> is annual meeting of researches interested in the brain dynamics in health and disease. It provides a forum wherein researches may present, discuss and exchange information and ideas regarding various aspects of nervous system functioning caused by external factors or generated autonomously. Emphasis is placed on seeking solutions to alleviate people\u2019s suffering due to neurological disorders e.g. epilepsy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Meeting dates:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe conference consists of two parts. Scientific presentation part takes place on 10 &#8211; 11 July. Scientific retreat part takes place on 12 \u2013 14 July. Recommended arrival and departure dates are July 9th and 15th.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe scientific presentation part will be held at: University of Warsaw, Faculty of Physics, 5 Pasteur St. 02-093, Warsaw, Poland,\u00a0Room B1.44-46 (1st floor, entrance from Banacha street)<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fuw.edu.pl\/how-to-get-there.html\">http:\/\/www.fuw.edu.pl\/how-to-get-there.html<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Programme: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fuw.edu.pl\/~jarekz\/SAND2017\/SAND_XIV_Program.pdf\">the programme is avaliable here<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Information for presenters:<\/strong><br \/>\nSpeakers should plan for 15 minutes talks + 5-10 minutes for questions and discussion.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Registration and abstracts:<\/strong><br \/>\nIn order to register please send an email with the abstract attached to: Maria.Duczyminska@fuw.edu.pl. The abstract should not be longer than 250 words in total. Please also indicate your interest in participation in the retreat. Detailed retreat information will be sent only to those who express their interest during registration. Please register before June 1st. The number of slots for presentations is limited. We cannot guarantee your talk, if your abstract is submitted after the deadline. There is no registration fee.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Scientific retreat:<\/strong><br \/>\nThe established practice of the conference is to organize outdoor scientific retreat where participants may spontaneously continue discussions in less formal setting. The retreat will consist of 3-day kayak trip in one of the most beautiful areas in North East Poland. The retreat includes camping in tents and cooking on campfire (both weather permitting). The kick-off party dinner with traditional Polish food will take place at a country farm near starting point of the kayak trip.
