Adrianna TARTAS

PhD, Medical Physics

She received her MSc in Applications of Physics in Biology and Medicine  (specialization: Medical Physics) from the Faculty of Physics,  University of Warsaw. She was awarded the Scholarship of the Minister of  Science and Higher Education for Outstanding Student Achievements in the  2017/2018 academic year. Her PhD research focused on the formation of  DNA repair foci in cancer cells exposed to sequential mixed beams of  ionizing radiation. During her doctoral studies, she spent one year at  the radiobiology laboratory of Stockholm University, where she conducted  radiobiological experiments involving real-time imaging of DNA repair  foci formation.

She is currently involved in teaching activities at the Department of  Biomedical Physics. Her research includes radiobiological projects  focused on investigating the effects of irradiation on biological  material.
